About eCommerce

You must be open when your customers want you to be, not just when your shop door is unlocked.

Open All Day Every Day

An eCommerce store allows you to be open for every hour of every day, every week, all year · Excellent

Sell Everywhere

Sell beyond the physical limits of your shop door. Sell to the whole country, Europe or the entire world.

Sorry! We are CLOSED 70% of the time

Closed 70

When are you open for Business?

If your high street shop is ONLY open from 9am to 5pm, from Monday to Saturday, you are closed for over 70% of the time · do you think that is enough ?

Our simple calculation shows that you are more closed than open

  • 9am until 5pm is 8 hours per day (and that's excluding your lunch break)
  • Monday to Saturday is 6 days
  • So that means you are open for 48 hours per week (8 times 6)
  • There are 168 hours in a normal week
  • So you are only open for 28.6% of the time
  • Bad News! You are therefore closed for 71.4% of the week

Your Customers Want More

closed

Your customers want to shop with you under their terms not yours. If you are closed, they cannot shop with you. They may be buying on impulse and if your door is closed, they may not come back.

Selling online allows your store to be open all day every day, at obscure hours of the day on Sundays and Bank Holidays · All of the time.

So sure being open all of the time is going to mean more work from you as you deal with the additional orders, but that sounds like a nice problem to have.

Your Geographic Limitations

It's not your fault that your shop, store or factory is only in one location. After all premises are not exactly cheap to buy, run and maintain.

However you need to ask yourself, will my customers travel to my store to buy what I'm selling. Some will, but there is a limit to travel and it all depends on what you are selling.

Letting them browse your store from the comfort of their armchair or desk, takes them less time, less effort and allows them to buy more from you under their terms.
